Greetings, listers! Working on a friend's 2300, trying to get the modem to cooperate. Shes got the 7.6 version of Open Transport, Remote access, etc. At first, the modem control panel would simply say that the express modem would not work on this Macintosh. After turning on just about every extention in the System folder, I finally got the modem to admit it was on. Now, as I try to run her AOL vers 4.0 (shudder), the software comes back saying the modem could detect no dial tone. Really a pity, because the dial tone is fine. I'm in a little over my head, my trusty 280c has never had a modem problem. I have a line on a new GV 19.2 internal modem, but I'm hesitant to try cracking the case. It's not mine, after all. Any Ideas? I also can put Sys 8.1 on the machine... better or worse than 7.6? Thanks, Scott Yarbrough __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
