Hi there. I've got an old Duo 230 that I'm trying to make usable. It has "issues", however. First of all, the keys on the keyboard don't work half the time (dust??). But that's rather minor, since I can use an external keyboard....In general, how do I go about cleaning the keyboard (and perhaps relatedly, I'd also like to know how to access the innards -- hard disk, etc). Most of the big problems seem to be power-related. At times while running with the power adapter, the machine will shutdown spontaneously for no reason...this is weird. Also, I have a battery that I believe to be nearly empty [is there a way to test the battery level, as in with a multimeter?], and it will "fully charge" it in a matter of minutes, but then when I run on battery power alone, there are only a few minutes of life on the battery. Using the other battery, I let it charge for perhaps 45 minutes, and the control strip said it too was charged, so I tried to boot using only the battery, but all I got were strange momentary patterns on the LCD display, or the Sad Mac tones, or (weird!) a crackling sound from the speakers. I'm almost afraid to leave this thing plugged in while I'm away for fear that it will spontaneously combust or something. :-) Any ideas on what to do with it would be greatly appreciated.
