Okay, here's another one of my "If you can solve this for me, I'll be 
amazed" questions.  Is there a version of Java out there somewhere that 
will run (and "compile" .java files) on my newly-undusted 230?  It has 12 
MB of RAM (not much), and runs at 33 MHz (not fast).   I've seen Java run 
with 1MB of RAM at 40 MHz (on a microcontroller)...but I've never seen it 
for older Macs.  Any clues?

PS -- What do you think about buying used batteries?  I see that Ebay has 
some for a good price ($25 or so, as-is).. at least compared to the $100 
prices I've seen recently on the list.  I think for $200 or so I could get 
a different laptop, so I don't want to spend any more money on this project 
than I have to.  :-)
