Thanks for the suggestion, but I have the problem whether the battery is in or out. I booted from the disk tools disk and ran Disk First Aid, but it said my HD is okay. However, I had the problem (just one flicker, thankfully) when I started running DFA, so I am thinking this is probably nothing to do with my system. (Is that right? Because if i boot from the floppy then I'm not running on the system on my HD?) Hmm... Another symptom is that sometimes it just will not open things. If I click on a folder it acts like it's gonna open (that little wheel thingy starts spinning), but then it stops. The same thing happened when i tried to click on my HD to open it. But then later it worked. I tried throwing out finder preferneces, but it didn't help. Out of ideas! Corina >Could have been hardware problem. I got this symptom once when I tried to use >Battery Conditioner on an old type 1 battery. Later one when I got an >external recharger, I got a red light on that battery. > >Try running your laptop without the battery. if it goes away, check your >battery. ---------- Duo/2400 List, The friendliest place on the Net!
