Simon; I too have that 2300 soft powerport prob. For a while 
I carried a film container which was just the right height 
to lift the plug when the feet were down, but it kept squirting out 
on slippery tables; then I used a small empty woodscrew box. 
Now, I just have my Presentor minidock plugged in all the time. 
It has its own powerport because it's big enough to hide the 
Duos', which is hinky anyway.
