Have you tried Dragon Fax?
It comes with Best Data modems and the software will work with the Duo 280c internal 
modem, at least it works on mine!  The GV software depends on the version use an older 
version of the GV software and it should work version 2.5 seems to work ok and version 
2.1, I also have GV version 2.6 but haven't tried that one yet!
