The AirPort stuff will work on 2400. I used it since AirPort 1.1. If
you want, I can stuff the parts that you need and email them to you.
You just drop them in the System Folder and it works.
As far as the software from Lucent/Agere not working. That is odd. I
never had an install problem with their stuff. Did you grab the
latest drivers? AS Client 2.0 is the best. The package is in 2 parts:
card driver and authentication software. You only need the card
driver unless you are working with the AS-2000, which it seems you
aren't. You can get it at:
ftp://ftp.orinocowireless.com/pub/software/ORiNOCO/AS_2000_Rel2_0/MacOS/AS_Cl_MacOS.exe
It's a darn .exe that needs to be expanded on a PC. Then, there is a
.bin file for you. If you need, I can probably email the extracted
version as well.
