Dear Mark and others:

After the long delay of FedEx losing my 2400c, arriving nearly a week
later at DT&T with a damaged hard drive and having the drive replaced
(with a larger drive) through MCE's warranty, I finally got around to
installing 9.04 and updating to 9.1 on partition B of my drive. I have
not experienced any problems with the brightness buttons. Both sides
work fine. I did have a few other problems including modem failure which
were finally corrected after running Disk Warrior.

One problem, however, which I have been able to solve is my inability to
access my iDisk under 9.1. I tried everything. Last night I found a
posting on Mac Fixit which stated that Apple confirms that there is a
problem accessing the iDisk under 9.1 and they are attempting to solve
the problem.

MacFixit has posted the following work around from Apple

In the meantime, Mac OS 9 users may access their iDisk by using the
Chooser. In the Chooser select AppleShare, then click "Server IP
Address..." When when you see the box asking for the address enter
"idisk.mac.com". Then in the next box enter your iTools user name and
password. Your iDisk should then appear on your desktop. Mac OS X users
should be unaffected by this issue.
