Compuserve changed my @csi address so I couldn't send this mix 'n match tip a few weeks back because my email address suddenly wasn't "authorized" anymore. Anyway my other post on Open Transport reminded me to resurrect this one for my fellow 2400 users. on 4/4/01 3:16 AM, Dave Perin <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Wow! Apart from normal Apple sanctioned updates to various system components, and non-sanctioned OT upgrades, I'm reminded by this question to pass on an effective tip for tuning off-color 2400c LCD screens. After upgrading around a year ago to OS 9.0.4 (my OS X/9.1 CD sits inaccessible at the moment), I quickly reverted to maintaining use of OS 8.6 on my primary partitions. However, I tried most of the 9.0.4 extensions in 8.6. I found Color Sync 3.0.1 to work perfectly. It offers much more control over the color cast of 2400 screens which can run too blue or too yellow, and can vary considerably from one computer to another. After using the expert mode, I have been able to create custom color profiles which reach a much purer white and neutral balance (or move color bias in a direction I prefer). --- Sidney Ho ---------- Duo/2400 List, The friendliest place on the Net!
