I just had some trouble with my HP printer and duo. But i am running OS 8,. so i
upgraded the drivers. You might consider, if you havent done, upgrading to the newest
drivers for your printer model. The ones i downloaded from hp's site work with OS 7.01
and higher http://www.hewlettpackard.com
Even if youre just running 7.5.3, updated drivers might fix your problem (hey they
cant hurt)

I read in the readme with the new drivers, that to use a duo with an HP printer, the
setting in the 'powerbook setup' control panel, for modem, needs to be set to 'normal'.
See if yours is set to 'normal' (it may be set to 'compatible', in which case, change
it)

Try those 2 suggestions. You might get lucky.
