Thanks to everyone who replied to my earlier message about connecting a mobile phone (Nokia 7110, GSM) to my duo 2300. What is needed is a non-crossover adaptor. The ideal one that comes with the Palm Mac connection kit is a crossover cable and won't work. Does anyone know about adaptors that would convert crossover cables (and vice-versa)? I've managed to connect using an old Newton Windows connection cable (crossover) and then via a serial box the Palm adaptor - crossing over again! This is obviously not ideal! (Oddly some Mac-modem cables (din8-db25) seem to work and others don't.) For info in case anyone wants to do it, it is possible to connect a PCMCIA modem card to the Duo via serial through a Newton using Modembridge. It took me a while to get it set up properly but I managed to get my Duo to use a Motorola Startac via a cellect card. Thanks, Neil ---------- Duo/2400 List, The friendliest place on the Net!
