Sorry, but that's another falsehood. Both Claris and OE use Internet Config
(known as the Internet Control Panel in OS 8.5+). Both dictate that anything
that comes in with a .doc, .xls or .ppt (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
extension, is sent to the corresponding control panel, and one is no more
"effective" than the other. Let's not forget that any Office app that opens
a document with macros, gives you a fair warning, "This document contains
Macros: Enable Macros, Disable Macros, Cancel." I, for one, ALWAYS disable
Macros.
I apologize for my intensity on this topic, but I am SO SICK of hearing
people talk sh%@ about Microsoft.

4. The Mac Business Unit and the rest of Microsoft are COMPLETELY separate!
5. The same team that made Claris Emailer CURRENTLY WORKS for Microsoft and
made OE and then Entourage!
I used Emailer exclusively until about 6 months ago.
I got sick of opening my browser to read HTML email.
I got sick of not being able to use new and current technologies, like IMAP,
SSL Authentication, SMTP Auth, etc.
I got sick of a limited address book.
I got sick of email errors if I wasn't on a network-enabled location (Yes,
OE and Entourage are Location Manager savvy).
I got sick of using a different app to read news posts.
Claris Emailer is an UTTERLY FANTASTIC piece of code, but it is SEVERLY
DATED! Outlook Express is nearly identical, down to the keyboard shortcuts.
Don't like Microsoft? Don't use it. I laugh wholeheartedly at people who
tell me Netscape is a better browser and Emailer (or anything else) is a
better email client. Apple doesn't think so... And neither do I.
