Duo List,

I need an older Powerbook to record sounds from a professional (XLR)
microphone. I have checked the specs for all Powerbooks and I am still
confused. SInce I want 16 bit sound, I guess I cannot use any of the Duo
200 series. Is the 5300 the first Powerbook to have 16 bit sound? Or does
the 2300 have 16-bit sound? What about the 2400? Or am I limited to the
3400?

Also, I am not clear what type of audio interfaces are on the Powerbooks.
Do any of the old Poserbooks have "mic levels" or do all the audio inputs
jacks on the older Powerbooks require line level or Apple's special powered
microphone level?
