Is cable or DSL on a docked 230 even >feasible? Thanks in advance. Chris I use a Quadra 700 '040 at 25 MHz (tenth birthday in May) for daily browsing on a fastish academic network (ethernet). It is very slow, and I make sure that I always have something to do while I'm waiting for a page to load. I also have access to a colleague's iMac on the same network - not slow. So, yes, the processor is the bottleneck, and I imagine a 68030 will be slower than a 68040. HTH nick g London ---------- Duo/2400 List, The friendliest place on the Net!
