Is there an Appearance Manager fix / hack to eliminate Windows (& Gem) style menu click -> drop down, click again to select? Background: Menu response and some button reponse seems slower ever since Appearance Manager. Noticed it back with 7.6.1 when Palm Desktop included Appearance Manager. (7.6.1 + SpeedDoubler seemed snappy enough with my 2300). I skipped loading Appearance Manager whenever possible. Now I've upgraded to 8.6 and I've assumed it's necessary. Anyone know if Appearance manager is the culprit? Why the delay? Any fix? Is any "theme" faster to display than the others?
