After careful consideration of all of the opinions I read on this list and
Apple's marketing hype, (Sidney, you made several very compelling
arguments) I believe a new iBook is in my future. The bottom line for me,
PC Cards are not that important, however, longer battery life, and an
optical drive are...YMMV
So... I would like to give my friends on the Duo/2400 List an opportunity
to continue to TLC my 2400!

old, plus original 180MHz card), 80 MB RAM, 1.3 GB HD. Screen tested with
PowerBook Active Matrix: One bad pixel "red" lower left corner "control
strip area". Battery in good condition (~1.25 hours, average use).
Includes: External floppy drive (works well but missing its door), AC
adapter (two months old), Global Village 56K Modem/10BaseT ethernet combo
PC Card, SCSI cable (SCSI Disk mode option), MacOS 9.1 (Mac OS 8.6, 8.1 or
7.6.1 can be installed).

if you are interested. I live in the San Francisco Bay Area, if that is a
consideration for you.
Best,
Keith
P.S. - Although I basically am a lurker on the Duo/2400 List, I think that
the Duo/2400 community lives up to its name "The friendliest place on the
Net!" Thanks for all the great information, humor, and friendly read over
the years.
