The HDI-30 SCSI Disk Adapter is for SCSI disk mode, if you attach one end to you Duo and the other end to yuor Desktop mac, the Duo will act like a hard drive. The HDI-30 SCSI cable is your average SCSI cable that you can use to attach Scanners, CD-ROM, optical or hard drives.
