The HDI-30 SCSI Disk Adapter is for SCSI disk mode, if you attach one
end to you Duo and the other end to yuor Desktop mac, the Duo will
act like a hard drive.

The HDI-30 SCSI cable is your average SCSI cable that you can use to
attach Scanners, CD-ROM, optical or hard drives.

The good news, it hard to make 'smoke' by using the wrong cable. the
worst that'll happen it you'll feel stupid for grabbing the wrong
cable to attach your CD-ROM and your Duo books in scsi disk mode :-)

> What is the difference between the "HDI-30 SCSI Disk Adapter" and the
>"HDI-30 SCSI cable"? The manual for the Duo 210/ Duo 230 has a different
>name for each cable but, in the picture, they look identical.

>if these two cables are the same... or if I actually need two separate
>cables depending on how I hook up the unit.
