So I already know one of my 'major problems' is every time I sell my 2400, I regret it, then buy another one (neurotic?...don't answer)...I'm on my third, or is it fourth?...Anyway... Bought one on ebay last week...the screen was literally yellow before becoming black & white over a 24 hour period of 'ownership'...then the trackpad would go into cardiac arrest and just stop working...(if anybody's out there, I had posted to the list)...returned it, got my $$$ back...be careful out there in ebay land... That was Monday and Tuesday last... Then on Thursday...I tracked down another one...which is seemingly a GREAT deal... However...just went down to MCE today cause I thought the PRAM battery needed to be replaced...usual signs...can't sleep swap battery without losing time and date...but I noticed another unusual thing...both before and after the pram battery replacement...when the computer is shut down, if I insert a battery without it plugged in, the computer starts up without having to push the power on button...I remember this happened in 1997 when I had my first 2400 right out of the box...soon after, the logic board died...is this normal?...can everybody just stop what you are doing...shut down unplug your computer, take out your battery, then put it back in...what happens?... As an aside...I had a Kanga for a very short while, (another BAD ebay purchase) and these were symptoms it had before DT&T replaced the logic board... Another aside...this new 2400 has a YoSan keyboard...the area that sits above the inside of the battery compartment...Namely the arrow keys...seems to hang a bit low...meaning sometimes it's a bit rough to get the battery in and out... So...what to do? Any help appreciated, except psychological pondering over my 2400 compulsion...
