My 2400c as far as I can remember without the ac adapter it doesn't boot up with putting the battery in. I did have a 2400c that had I/O board(powersupply) problem, that I just took apart and sold in pieces, that particular one. turned it self on when you plugged the ac adapter in. BTW: If anyone is looking for a 2400c TFT screen I have one for sale, it is in very good condition, the display is still very bright, I used at at half brightness all the time, so if you're interested, let me know.
