The external Supra 56Kv90 is small, slim, light, and it NEVER gets hot. Tethered? I do most of my computing sitting down indoors, and sitting down somewhere near a phone jack just isn't all that inconvenient. If you're using a PC Card, you're tethered too. Now, if Earthlink ever comes through with satellite hookups for us, then I'll change my tune. BTW, which version of Compuserve's software do you use? There aren't many of us Mac CSV users left. I still have a minimal account with them for certain specific email needs and fear that my heretofore faithful, handy CIM 2.4.4 email software is fast approaching its end of the line.
