I've used a NewerTech FireWire card on my 2400/180mHz with Fianl Cut
Pro and Premeire with mixed results. I have a 6gig IBM drive and 80mb
RAM. Just barely enough to run FCP.
I always use Final Cut Pro for capure, and on my 2400, it work just
fine for capturing video from either my Sony DVMC-DA2 or my Panasonic
EZ30 DVCam camera. No dropped frames.
I've had no just playing back or editing the video in FCP or anywhere
else the 2400 just dosn't have the video speed to deal with 720x480
DV video, and I think that the 40mHz bus also causes some limitations.
But, I've still got the stock 180mHz 603 chip, I'm gonna give DV
video another try when ever my g3 upgrade gets here ... darn slow
international postal service.

> Powerbook 2400 with G3/240, MCE cardbus upgrade
> Medium to large internal HD (e.g. Travelstar)
> Carbus Firewire PC card
> Typical well-supported DV camera such as VX2000 or PD150
> Final Cut Pro or iMovie
