Hey all, thought I'd share my experience with the IBM DJSA GN220 if I remembered the
model number correctly...I put one of those puppies into my 2400c about 2 or 3 months
ago, and it has been great! The OS is loading faster, it was a breeze putting the
thing in. I'm loving it althuogh the formatted capacity is 18.62gb, but hell its
bigger and faster than the 1.3gb. The only thing is that I've read regarding the heat
cuz its a 9.5mm drive, and the powerbook supposedly was designed with a heat sink of
some sort for the 12mm, does anyone have more info. regarding that while I am at it?
It does get warmer on the bottom than the 1.3 but I have not yet had any issues with
performance or any problems. And I am still slowly working on tne activating my own
cardbus :) I have not been able to find any docs on TI 1130PCI controller, I remember
reading something on that a couple of months, but have not yet been able to find it,
if anyone have any leads let me know, thanks, Calvin
p.s. I'm still waiting for a dongle for gv combo card so my 2400 can see the light of
internet again, and d/l some much needed drivers before I can go on futher to deal w/
the cardbus :)
