Dear Gurus,
I've a 280c 7.6.1 networked with an iMac 450 9.01. Today the iMac's
CD player refused to eject the system disk (or recognize the CD player) and
my Norton utilities attempt to fix this (probably because the Norton was
for an earlier # OS) didn't eject the system disc and produced the BIG
QUESTION MARK. Since I can't open the CD w/o a prybar, it's a dead bugger
until I go to my nearest guru who dwells 2 1/2 hours from our farm.
But that isn't what I'm asking about. As a backup freak I've been
storing files on the apple idisc but when I tried to access with my 280
they said sorry no ppc and when I tried to access via a friend's Imac 8.5,
they said, sorry no 9.0.
Is the idisk basically useless in the real world and if so, what
internet storage can accommodate different macs w/ different OSs?
