hey all--

just thought i'd share my decision over whether to invest in a new ibook or buy a
2400c...
i sold my 2300 a few weeks ago
i thought i wanted a new ibook
but, then i saw it up close, lol
it is white, very white on the ouside (although the inside is nice), and it still
looks a lot bigger to me than a 2400 (after having used a duo, anyway--- the mac
dealer thought i was nuts)
and really, the 2400c is just cooler, lol
and who wants to switch over to usb when all my stuff is serial and adb
besides, that chinczy gap in the ibook btwn the case and the display is, well, chinczy
(stupid, waiting to be broken, etc)
ok so most duos also have a bit of a gap-- but they dont look as stupid or as big as
the gap on the new ibook

and hey, who wants to spend $1300 (plus tax) USD for an ibook (here in canadian
dollars, the ibook is $2000 and you add $300 for tax) when the great little 2400 is
less than $600 USD (and no tax!) most places now

so, i'm going to get a 2400
and hope that all the glod, etc problems i hear abt here will not soon affect my 'new'
pb

sorry to be offtopic, but thought i'd share my thoughts and decision in favour of the
2400

regards,
~alex
