hi, folks--thought i'd ask for some advice before i open up my 2400c (again). i just replaced the logic board and I/O board of my nonworking 2400c (which died on me when i stupidly plugged in a zip drive meant for PCs); put in a new PRAM battery as well. everything booted up just fine after several PRAM resets to banish the GLOD. then i pushed in my PC cards--modem and ethernet--only to discover that the 2400c wouldn't recognize them. further PRAM resets and desktop rebuilds were of no avail. the eject buttons wouldn't work, either--had to do the paper clip routine. i know you must be thinking that i didn't seat the PC card cage cable right when i swapped the logic board, etc., but i know (i think) i did--i remember taking a long hard look at all the connections. will check them again, of course, unless someone else on the list has had this problem before and can offer me some sharper insights. btw, the 2400c works just fine otherwise--but i need those PC cards! thanks! jose _________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com. ---------- Duo/2400 List, The friendliest place on the Net!
