I'm using a 2300c with OS 8.6. Everything runs very smoothly, but both Apple's Express Modem and GV's PowerPort Mercury default to 'compatible' mode during the startup sequence which means I always have to go to the control panel to reset them to 'normal' mode before using the serial port.
