The question was, what to do with or how to store the 2400c now that you
have a new iBook. As someone afflicted with the same happy "problem," my
solution has been to decide to keep the 2400c as my road machine, and the
iBook as my desktop repacement at home.

I seriously think the 2400c will wear better on the road ("wear" in terms of
both looks and durability), and it's served me well enough in that capacity
all these years. If there's one thing (admittedly minor) that bothers me
about the new iBook, it's the ease with which the plastic gets scuffed--I
can just imagine what two or three normal road trips will do. Of course we
can be as careful as possible, putting in a pouch or some such protector,
but this was something we never had to worry about with the 2400c. On the
other hand, the new iBook's fabulous screen and speed have made it a natural
replacement for my old PowerMac desktop as my main surfing machine. It
wasn't what it was meant for, but hey, it looks great on a desk--I think
I'll trot it out when I need to impress someone with how great Macs look and
work.

Cheers
Jose
