I'm not sure whether you mean the CF PC card adaptor for use with the
2400, or the camera itself. The adaptor is available anywhere you can
buy notebook or digital camera stuff, and it's cheap - should be $20
or less in Canada or the US (there's nearly nothing to it). The
camera is on the high end (of consumer cameras), and goes for about
$1200 Canadian (should be $800 US). The owner of this particular one
bought it using a rebate grant for computer purchases, but if you
need a good digital camera and can afford it, it'd be worth even
spending real money. ;)
Back on the subject of slots, I would actually be interested in
seeing a slot the size and shape of a CF2 card on a notebook computer
instead of a traditional PCMCIA slot. That way you could use flash
storage as well as the new microdrives without an adaptor. If the
slots became popular we'd start to see other devices in the smaller
case as well. The chipset support in the computer is exactly the
same, so it wouldn't be an expensive inclusion.
