Hi All

I'm going to be travelling soon and will be taking my trusty 230
with me for writing. The Duo does not have a laptop as I use my
desktop PowerMac for most everything else (I have a DuoDock for E'Net
file transfers).

Can anyone suggest an easy way to outfit the 230 for Net Access (email
is a must ... FTP and basic Web browsing would be nice). Currently
the machine is running OS 7.6.1. and *does not* have an internal
express modem. I've got an old US Robotics Sportster 56k that might
work with via the Duo's printer/modem port -- while I'd shell out
a few bucks for an internal Duo Express Modem, I really don't mind
bringing the external modem with me.

Any advice re: software, hardware and ISP's would be great. Currently
I use a free local ISP via remote access. As that number won't work
from Montana (where I'll be in July), I'd be happy to start a membership
with Earthlink or some other nationwide ISP -- I just don't know
if their software will work on 7.6.1 or OS 8. Anyone know of a Duo
230-friendly ISP?

Many thanks.

Best
nk

PS -- I've got a new column up at powerbookcentral.com ... It mentions
the list: www.powerbookcentral.com/columns/kravitz/20jun01.shtml
