Caution, this post is dangerously close to off topic: I have found that 
AOL 2.7 will still work on the truly ancient Macintosh, such as the Mac 
Plus as long as it has 4M of memory and a hard drive. I install AOL 2.7 
on some of these truly old machines and give them to non-connected 
friends. I keep two $5 a month AOL accounts so that I can issue screen 
names to these people so they can send/fetch email using flash sessions. 
Since the flash sessions only last one or two minutes, that $5 180 minute 
account can serve five users quite effectively.
