+ +I have the same problem when I use my older Pinnacle 1x CD-R.
+ +What would cause this?
+ +I've never had a problem burning a CD, it will just show
+ +up as 6 different drives in
+ +SCSIProbe and Drive Setup. I have also used it on a
+ +Windows machine before, and it
+ +will show up as 6 drives in "My Computer".
+ +I've always wondered about this. It also shows up in toast
+ +as a worm drive. What is a
+ +worm drive?
WORM = Write Once Read Many, the designation used for the older Phase
change & MO drives and also some early CD writers, this was changed
on later drives as it sometimes caused problems with windows not
recognising it as a valid CD drive for reading (ie unable to play
music CD's etc).
(FWIW my old JVC CD-R id's as a WORM drive.
Ben.
