After much hesitation, I have finally decided to part with my good
old trusty friend, a Duo 280c. We have been through so much together,
two books, a dozen or so magazine articles, several dozen research
field trips, countless hours of shuttling plans, files and records to
and from school, hours on the 'net, but alas!, my home office cries
out for space, and I find I use it less and less frequently these
days.

I really want it to go to a good loving home, where I know it will
continue to be treasured and pampered, so I am offering it here
instead of eBay or some such other place. It has these sterling
qualities:

32 mb RAM
330 mb HD (276 mb free space)
(no modem, Type III battery in its death throes but powerful enough
to avoid the DGLOD)
System 7.6.1
Usual system and utility programs (including TechTool Pro 2)
WordPefect 3.5.4
WriteNow 4.0.2 (the best word processor I've ever used!)
Quark XPress 3.32r5
ClarisWorks 4.0
GradeQuick 4.0c
Netscape Navigator 4.08
Internet Explorer 4.01
Eudora Pro 4.2.2
TacOps 3.1.1
Harpoon Classic

To complete the package, I'm including:
Duo Dock Plus with Ethernet
24x external CD-ROM drive
Color Performa Plus Display (14-15", unsure exactly what size it is)
AC adapter
car adapter
Keyboard, mouse
Big box of assorted adapters, cables, etc.

First $300 gets it all, I'll deliver it personally in Georgia or
nearby areas, or you pay for whatever level of shipping you want and
I'll tearfully box it up for free.

Please give Katie a good home!
