Hi all,
I generally enjoy just lurking and gaining insight from the wonderful tips
and solutions
provided here.
So can we get back to the issue at hand ('cause I'm interested in shutdown
potential
as well - pro's and con's aside)...
What is a good way to script shutdown to handle the issues Frank initially
requested
assistance with???
>Looking for suggestions on how to shutdown the computer after a given
>period of keyboard/mouse inactivity, or at a specific time... while
>managing to sheperd the process through typical dialog boxes (e.g.
>save work in open documents), etc.
>The energy saver CP initiated shutdown always seems to be deceived by
>some kind of background activity for the timeout shutdown (which is
>why I'm interested in keyboard inactivity), and both it and the
>scheduled shutdown always seem to get hung up in dialogs regarding
>save work, etc.
Thanks!
