Belkin is a good outfit. MacAlly makes a dual USB/1394 (Firewire)
card which might be smarter money in the long run -- provided it
works. I'll know soon enough as we are going to test one in a
7500/G3 backup server next week. There are others out there -- if
only Asante made one. I love their network devices.

Hi Paul,

Appreciate a heads up on the new product testing. I had a chance to buy a Belkin 4
port PCI USB card last night on eBay. .(actually 3 chances) as none of them sold at
the minimum bid of $24. I might just buy one . . they are so cheap <G>. . and try it
out. I know what you mean about the combo card, though. Nice to get a two fer. A
guy was selling Sonnet (Dutch-5) last week for about $98. . a little steep, so I did
not bid. .. but, he sold 3 of them at that price.

Take care
