That's very interesting. My dilemma is whether to continue working
with this motherboard or to stop wasting money on it. It sounds
like, whatever the cause may be, the SCSI problem isn't a fatal
problem. If I buy an IDE drive and cable I should be able to get
this machine working well. The ability to use external SCSI 
devices is actually a low priority for me - I generally only do
so in order to install system software, etc.
