Very interesting symptom. It sounds like the drive is:
1. Responding to any drive select
-or-
2. The powerbook is asserting the drive's ID when trying to select other
drives.
I don't understand why you get only six copies of that drive. But with
either of these problems you should see SEVEN copies of the drive.
If you are encountering problem 1, it could be caused by lack of
termination power in the drive. Make sure that termination power is
selected at the drive.
If you are encountering problem 2, changing the drive ID might clear
things up.
