Eudora is a very stable and well-designed app; I've been using it
since 3.1 or so on my Duo, up to 4.3.3 on my 2400. It was the first
and only GUI client to woo me away from elm and mush, actually. If it
complains about too little memory, uh, give it more memory. This is a
Mac OS issue, not a Eudora-specific one (in fact Eudora has some of
the best and most informative handling of a too-low app memory
partition that I've seen).

One thing to watch for when installing it is that it will crash badly
if you try and switch to "light" (unpaid, no ads) mode on the first
launch (perhaps because the prefs file isn't created yet). Install
it, quit, then switch to light mode and it works forever. I run it in
a 4.1MB memory partition, but I keep my inbox trimmed pretty small.

The 5.x versions don't offer anything compelling over 4.3.3, at least
in light mode. In fact the only thing sponsored or paid mode offers
that most people might want is an integrated spellchecker (and I hate
those, so no ads for me ;).
