Ah ha! My 280c keyboard is A1 since I fixed it last night. Seems ironic that running a low tech, dull soft lead pencil over the 'difficult' or disconnected circuits on the plastic keyboard sheets brings them back to life like magic. I first used an eraser as suggested and cleaned the contacts up quite well but the problems persisted, until... well... just don't throw your pencils away yet. If you try it, post your results, oK?
