I guess the question is, what do you want to do on the
Internet?

For web browsing, Navigator 4.08 is as modern as you can get.
I've found that to run Netscape 4.08 it's best to have about
20MB of RAM, plus enough for whatever you want to run with it.
I use a Duo230 with 24MB and find that I don't run out of RAM
easily. If you use POP/IMAP for mail, I'd suggest Eudora Light
v1.5.3. For FTP, use Fetch 3.3. All of these are available as
free downloads.

Keep in mind that while Duo's are fantastic machines, they are
not considered useful by the people who write web browser
software. Nor are they held in high regard by those who design
most web sites. Browsing "full featured" web sites with a Duo
is a disheartening experience. If you stick to using your Duo
for what it does best, you'll be much happier. Email, IRC,
Telnet/SSH, software development, system administration and
creative writing are some examples of things that Duo's do
even better than more modern computers.
