I beleive that if you have the ability to force one port of your
switch (or the whole thing) to be 10Mb/s it may work. Older
equipment won't understand the auto-sensing of a newer 10/100
hub or switch. I plan to connect my addapter to a fixed 10Mb hub
which will then be connected to a 10/100 network. The hub should
isolate the adapter from the auto-sensing of the upstream switch.
