>Now that you folks have made me lazy... heh. > >If I format a Smartmedia card for the Mac to be used as a start-up >disk, storage, etc., is the consensus that I can't reformat it back >to use by the camera? Maybe that's limited to the CompactFlash card >since it contains the controller? Don't know... I only own 3 SM cards: the 8 that came with my cam, the 32 I bought for the cam, and the 128 I bought for boot'n. =) I formatted the 128 in the cam, just to see how many pics it would hold... over 550! I could never see needing to take that many pics between swipes in the 2400c, so I popped it in the 2400c and formatted it with drive setup. I guess I could test it for you... ...or I could be lazy like you and wait for somebody else to. =) I bet with SmartMedia it is a no brainer. I have *never* had a problem formatting or re-formatting a card in my camera. But then again I haven't tried an HFS formatted card yet. --chuck goolsbee geek wrangler, digital.forest inc, bothell, wa <http://www.forest.net> list mom, mac-mgrs mailing list... <http://www.mac-mgrs.org> ---------- Duo/2400 List, The friendliest place on the Net!
