Yes, the web archives of the list have probably been spam harvested.

The best solution is to use a different throw-away address for ailing 
list. My old e-mial address started getting spammed like crazy about 
a month after I joined the DuoList (it may not have been connected)

Now, I have a different e-mail address for the DuoList, I wonder how 
long before it starts getting spammed.

Geeze, I dislike spam.
