Hi List Reader, Have you successfully installed a newer model HD into a Duo 2300? Will this upgrade improve the Duo's everyday responsiveness. I know a Tasmanian with a 3Gb Toshiba HD from an original series iBook, and I'm thinking I might be better off doing this upgrade, plus Speed Doubler 8, and forget about more RAM for a while. (Gotta love those Tassie devils!) I hope to soon have a 20M/1.1G Duo 2300, and can take the 16Mb card from my 250 so that I end up,eventually, with 24M/3G/Spped Doubler & maybe RAM doubler. Thanks to those of you who have taken the time to reply to my earlier questions. Faster, pussycat... There seems to be a trend of bagging the 2300's speed, in preference to the 280c, for non native software, so please let the list know if you have succeeded in hot - rodding your 2300 to make it a useful PPC Duo!
