This is probably a frequent question. I recently acquired a working 280c that will only boot from the adapter and will usually not awaken from sleep after 2 minutes. The green light will just quit. The machine will never run on the battery, but the battery has been tested as good. I've replaced the PRAM battery, reset the PMU, and done all the usual keystroke combos and other Mac fixes. I've located a 2300 motherboard for about $20.00. Can I just install the new motherboard? Will I need a different power adapter? Any help will be much appreciated. I really like this machine, but it's just not functional for me in its current internally disordered state. TIA Chris ---------- Duo/2400 List, The friendliest place on the Net!
