Thanks for the suggestion Charles. I've tried it in 16 sixteen shades of
gray and it still does the same text display but no graphics thing. I just
loaded it up on my LC575 (040) and it works fine in 16 colors. It must be
something specific to the Duo (Video Controller, OS version, PowerPC
incompatibility). I wasn't aware that the 2400 had the option of working in
16 colors. It was my understanding that the only PowerPC models that
supported Black & White and 16 color/grays were the 6100 series and the
2300. If the 2400 does in fact support that color depth, I would be very
interested in finding out how the game responded on your machine. Thanks
again.
Mad Dog, Loom is a unique graphic adventure that was released in 1990 whose
interface is completely based on musical notes. Entering notes in a
specific order results in a magic like casting of a spell. Although the
sound graphics are dated by today's standard, they were state of the art at
the time of release. The story is very entertaining and puzzles are
challenging which, is a very important consideration for that genre of game.
Sincerely,
Jason
