I'm upgrading the hard drive in my duo 2300. I had a 750 ide drive
(IBM) and I'm swapping in a 2GB (Toshiba) OEM drive I took out of my
Wallstreet when I upgraded. My question is this: the old 750 mb IBM
drive has a jumper on the last two pins on the drive. Do I need to
move them over to the last two pins on my Toshiba Drive?

And Paul Nelson, you were right, when I took the screen case apart,
it was the two little mounting screws that were pulled out. I put
epoxy in the holes and I'm waiting on it to dry. We'll see if it
holds. I did, however, break one side of the ears that hold down the
display cable just before it comes across the top of the motherboard.
What's the purpose of that any way? I think it will be pretty snug
with just one side, but I don't know how snug it's supposed to be.

One other little tidbit about batteries. I was in Radio Shack today
looking at their batteries to rebuild. The salemen commented that
they can get most computer batteries and sure enough they had two
different batteries for 2300. One was the 1600 mamp and other some
less. The 1600 was $125.00. I don't know how that comparies to BTI,
or any other source, but it was nice to see they could get them. He
said that his computer said that they were in stock in the warehouse
and he could get them in 2 days.
