If silverlining didn't locate the disk, try any other formatting
utilities you may have on hand. Had a similar situation crop up (on
my pismo with apple password protection) and was able to mount with
silverlining pro 6.1. Maybe drive setup or SCSI director? I did have
the password on hand, though, so am not sure if one could format a
protected volume. (Apple password protection should not be installed
on these machines since they require info on the disk in order to
boot. I bypassed the installer with tome viewer and almost locked
myself out of the house...)
