Hi jb
I have a number of power books and i find that the powerbook 2300c has a
nice crisp screen if you use it in 256 for reading files but some pictures
can not be shown in pdf. I also like the screen on the 5300c that i have
and the screen on the 540c also. However the screen that i think is the
best for reading anything pdf included is the 540 screen that i have on my
520. It is only grayscale but the screen is so sharp and the contrast is far
better than any of the colour screens that i have so my advice is to go for
a cheap 540 with a decent amount of ram and hdd space.
(or buy my 2300c)? joke
