Assume an average crew size of 10 per plane. There are only three or
four on the smaller ones, but international flights have over twenty.
So say a 10% increase in crew. Alternately, make this guy the
purser. Just arm the purser. Arm and train, naturally. They're
already the head of the cabin. Then train them to not deal with
terrorists. Don't risk the entire plane and people for a single
hostage etc. I know these guys would get paid off now and again, if
theres one thing a capitalism is good for, its corruption. In any
case, it might help. Even just the presence might be a deterrent.
