In Eudora, that happens when you try to change the text of a sent message. You can't change history. If you see a little pencil in the upper left corner of a received message like DuoList, click it, and you can delete all the >>'s and the >>>>'s and the >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>"s... :^_p If you're new to Macs, don't forget the Help menus.
